Join your Happy Drifters friends on Friday, May 30. We will attend the 2025 Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival.  The festival brings together world-class performers, historians, and enthusiasts for a joyful celebration of syncopated rhythms, period fashion, and historic charm—all in the heart of Sedalia, Missouri, where Scott Joplin’s legacy lives on.  The musical genius gave us the Maple Leaf Rag.

We plan to carpool from the upper church parking lot on Friday, May 30, leaving at 9:00 am.  We will first attend the free concerts in the open-air venues downtown and lunch is on your own at the downtown cafes, food trucks, or bring your own.  We will board the 12:00 historic trolley tour for the 1½ hour tour.  At 2:00 we will attend the concert at the Liberty Center with six performers, including a two-time World Champion of Old-Time Piano Playing and others displaying high-octane showmanship.  Cost is $25 for both the Trolley and the Liberty Center Concert.

Please sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway.
