Dear Friends in Christ,

As we reflect on this past year at Trinity Lutheran Church and School, we are filled with gratitude for how God continues to bless and sustain our congregation. Anchored in our mission of teaching, learning, caring, and serving, we have witnessed Christ at work in our worship, classrooms, and community life. This year, our school theme verse has guided and encouraged us through every season: “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” —Hebrews 12:1. This verse reminds us that as we run the race of life, we will face trials and tribulations—not only as individuals, but also within our families and our congregation.

Certainly, we have encountered our share of challenges. While we have returned to our sanctuary and are enjoying the blessings of our newly renovated space, we are still awaiting the arrival of our pews. The delay has been frustrating, but the wait is nearly over. God willing, the pews will be delivered in mid-July. We currently have a funding gap of $114,000 for the entire Sanctuary project.

Another challenge has been a change in our insurance coverage following the fire. We now have what can best be described as catastrophic plans for both the church and school. These plans come with higher premiums and deductibles, and any claims we make could hinder our ability to secure better coverage at a better rate in the future.

In addition, strong winds this spring caused roof damage to the new gym. Using available funds and our emergency reserve, we have signed a contract for the roof replacement. The congregation maintains an emergency fund of approximately $150,000 for situations like this and to cover short term cash flow deficiencies. We are seeking $44,000 in additional support in order to maintain our emergency fund for future needs.

Please see the download below more details on both projects.

We invite you to prayerfully consider making a special gift, above and beyond your regular giving, to help close these funding gaps. Your generosity will allow us to move forward in a fiscally responsible way. Gifts may be made using the School Capital Improvement or Building Fund envelopes included in your envelope set, or by clearly marking your check accordingly.

We are truly grateful for your continued generosity and support of the mission and ministry here at Trinity Lutheran. God has blessed us immensely, and we see His hand at work each and every day. Please continue to support the work of this congregation through your attendance, prayers, volunteering, and financial gifts.

In Christ
