Trustee’s Update - August 8, 2023

This week we passed our above-ceiling inspections on the first floor by the City electrical inspector and the Fire Department. This has allowed us to start closing up some ceilings.

To pass these inspections, we had to perform extensive code updates on the old part of the building. Sheetrock walls needed to be built above the stairwell doors; emergency lights had to be added to corridors and restrooms; and all penitrations through the block walls had to be sealed and painted with fire retardant paint.

New cabinets have been installed in the second floor Jr High rooms.

The plumbers have laid the sewer lines in the floor for the new kindergarten restrooms.

New tile fooring has been laid in four second floor classrooms and carpet in the Pre-K room.

The next several weeks will be very busy as the first day of classes comes closer and closer.

Please direct questions about cleanup and rebuilding to trustees@trinityjc.org.

God’s Peace,
Andrew Wachter - Board of Trustees - Chairman
