Trustee's Update - April 21, 2023

This morning, work continues on the cleanup process. Carpenters have put up a temporary wall that will form an ozone chamber in the cafeteria. This wall and door has to be stout enough to handle thousands of entries and exits. All our items and furniture that can be salvaged have to be deodorized. Ozone is a molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms. This highly unstable molecule reacts with and accelerates the oxidation and decay of smoke particles. This quality also makes it dangerous to breath. You must have a controlled environment to safely deodorize with ozone. Due to the massive volume of contents, moving them all off site to an industrial ozone faculty is not feasible. Our team from Paul Davis Restoration of the Capital Region, MO decided to build one here.

Crews are hard at work cleaning the contents of both gyms and the stage. After cleaning, items will spend time in the ozone then inventoried, sealed, and placed in a clean room for storage.

Please direct questions about cleanup and rebuilding to us at trustees@trinityjc.org

Thanks and God’s Peace
